The X-H2S is Fujifilm’s action camera: a 26.16MP stacked sensor that reads out roughly four times faster than a standard one, 40 fps bursts, minimal rolling shutter and 4K at 120p. It has 19 film simulations.
A stacked sensor is not about resolution. It is about how quickly the chip can be read, and that single property decides burst speed, viewfinder blackout, rolling shutter distortion and how well autofocus can track. The X-H2S is the only X Series camera with one.

What a stacked sensor actually changes
Fast readout means the electronic shutter is usable. On most cameras, silent shooting bends vertical lines when you pan and turns propellers into bananas. On the X-H2S the distortion is small enough to ignore for most subjects.
It also means 40 frames per second with continuous autofocus, and a viewfinder that stays live instead of flickering between frames. For anything that moves, that is the difference between getting the shot and seeing it afterwards.
The resolution trade-off
26 megapixels against the X-H2’s 40. In return you get better high-ISO performance and much smaller files, which matters when you shoot thousands of frames at an event.
Nostalgic Neg. debuted on this camera, and it still has 19 simulations rather than 20 — REALA ACE never came to it.
Who it is for
Sports, wildlife, birds, motorsport, dance, kids who will not sit still. Also documentary video, where 4K/120p and ProRes internal recording matter more than pixel count.
If nothing you photograph moves fast, you are paying for readout speed you will never use.

Verdict
The X-H2S is the only Fujifilm that competes with full-frame sports cameras, and it does it convincingly. If you do not shoot action, almost every other body in the range makes more sense for the money.

For almost everything, yes. It prints large and crops reasonably. If you crop aggressively or print very large, the X-H2 is the better choice.
