Which one to buy
The X-S20 is the more practical camera and the X-T50 is the more enjoyable one. If you shoot long days, use zooms, or came from Canon or Nikon, the grip and the battery decide it. If you shoot JPEG, love the film simulation dial and mostly use small primes, the X-T50 gives you the flagship sensor and the whole simulation set for slightly more.

Why does the X-S20 last so much longer?
It uses the larger NP-W235 battery. The X-T50 uses the smaller NP-W126S.
Which is better for video?
The X-S20, clearly. Vari-angle screen, bigger battery, dedicated Vlog mode and better heat handling.
